As we begin to emerge from a global pandemic, getting outside to enjoy nature has played an intrinsic role in improving our health and well-being. Let's take care of it.

The Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation (LSCF) is a registered charitable organization incorporated in 1973. Located in Newmarket, we are the leading environmental charity in our watershed, raising funds for the priority programs and projects of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA). Each year we work with our community partners to raise funds to help support science and research, restoration and protection and outdoor education initiatives to ensure a healthy and vibrant ecosystem.  LSCF is certified with Imagine Canada for excellence in non-profit management and manages both the legacy Annual Campaign as well as the Connect Campaign to re-build the Nature Centre at Scanlon Creek.

Your role on the Board is to provide the highest level of governance and decision making. Meeting bi-monthly, the Board oversees, articulates, and communicates the Foundations vision and mission in the community. You will identify, encourage, and secure financial support and appreciation for the Foundation's vision and mission. You will be a key contributor to the development and evaluation of the strategic plan, policies, key fundraising programs and approve Foundation financial support to LSRCA. There are also opportunities to serve on various Board Committees.

If you have a passion for nature, Lake Simcoe and its surrounding areas and want to ensure we protect and restore it for future generations, then consider serving on the LSCF Board of Directors.
